MULTAN (Dunya News) – The Multan Appellate Tribunal on Thursday fixed appeals filed by senior PTI leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Zain Qureshi and Meher Bano Qureshi against rejection of their nomination papers after removing objections.

The Multan Appellate Tribunal adjourned the hearing of nine appeals against rejection of nomination papers until Jan 6. The Registrar Judicial had objected to seven appeals and sent them to the senior judge.

Objections were raised by the registrar office to appeals filed by Qureshi against rejection of his nomination papers for NA 150, 151 and PP-218.

Similarly, the registrar office also put queries on Zain Qureshi and Mehr Bano Qureshi's appeals against rejection of papers for NA-151 and PP-218.

The judicial office had objected to missing of ROs' signatures on the rejection order.

The ROs had rejected the papers on the grounds that Qureshi, Zain and Mehr Bano had not attached affidavits with their papers. Qureshi's papers were not signed by him, the RO clarified in his order.

Appellate Tribunal’s Judge Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar issued notices to the ROs on the appeals.
